Hey fellow mommies, I’m Crystal!
I’ve been a wife for 17 years, a mom for 16, and a Mormon my whole life. I have 5 kids and sometimes it’s a blast and sometimes it’s so chaotic i don’t know how I’ll survive another minute. I’ve always wanted to be a mom, but guess what? spoiler alert: it’s hard! It’s worth it. But that fact doesn’t make it easier. I like to write, read, watch crime dramas and randomly hilarious comedies and I’m really good at cutting corners, finding the easy way out and cracking myself up.
I met my husband when I was a senior in high school and he was a 21-year-old who had JUST (like 3 days just) returned from an LDS mission. A year later we were married. We had two kids and then graduated from BYU. I got a BS in Marriage, Family, and Human Development and yes, that’s a real major. We had three more kids and here we are married for 17 years with five kids ages 16, 14, 9, 8, and 1. We live in Southern California and we love it. Except for the traffic. That traffic’ll make the veins in your neck explode. And except for the heat that’ll melt your face off. But other than THAT we really do love it.
I like to sleep when I can; read when I have the focus; write when I have the brain power; do outdoorsy things like camping when it’s not too hot; and dance, zumba, run and backpack when I’m not too fat.
Thanks for stopping by! Leave a comment and introduce yourself! I’d love to get to know you as well!
